The Fifth Key to Lasting Prosperity:

"Strive for Perfection"

Dear Wealth Creator,

There's really not much point to doing anything unless you do it well. I mean, how else will people know what you're capable of unless you show them?

More importantly, how will you know yourself?

Perfection has another key element too - it implies completion.

Too often we begin projects - full of confidence - and yet falter along the way and leave things unfinished.

No matter what you do, whether you're a burger flipper or the CEO of a company, you should strive to do your job well. To go that little bit further to give your completed tasks a sheen that is uniquely yours.

This doesn't mean that you have to be some kind of saint that has no flaws. The richest, most successful and effective people aren't all goodness and light, hardworking and ever resourceful. That's a goal perhaps but we all know the reality can be very different.

But simply wanting to do your best is enough - having a concrete idea of the final finished outcome in mind when you start a new project can be a powerful motivator.

And, again, don't aspire to anyone's else's idea of perfection. Aspire to your own. It's your vision alone that will carry you through to the finish. If you let go of that - and judge yourself too harshly, you will most likely fail to complete anything satisfactorily, if at all.

Strive to do what you do well. Use your talents and do it your way.

You'll notice now that we have learned the power of FOCUS over these last five lessons, as in:

Follow Your Heart
Observe The Game
Clear The Decks
Use Your Talents and
Strive for Perfection.

Which spells, you guessed it, FOCUS.
