Dear Wealth Creator, It's too easy to listen to, and be influenced by, seemingly well meaning advice. But think about it: what is this 'advice' supposed to do? Help? Inform? It rarely does. If you have a vision, an intuition, a feeling that something is right - you should act on it. Seeking out other's validation is time consumming - and will almost always undermine the confidence you felt at one time for your ideas. Most times the people around you don't like change. They don't like ideas that might mean they have to change their perspectives and admit that their concept of the world is in any way limited or, indeed, wrong. Over the years I've noticed this phenomenon many times. If you are successful, it upsets and annoys 'normal' people. Why? because, in their world, your success couldn't happen - their attitudes and prejudices have convinced them having great ideas does not equal success. Their world is based on making excuses for activity - that it's pointless to compete because they (by which they mean you too) can and will fail. So when you don't fail, you've rocked some very fundamental beliefs they hold dear. Their sense of reality, fairness and justice has taken a severe beating. Consequently they either a) hate you for it or b) will seek out any evidence that might let them believe that your success was a fluke - or that there was some other, circumstantial reason for it. You see this all the time. "Joe Blow was successful." "Ah yes, but that's because he was cooking the books / friends with the mob / slept with the boss's daughter etc etc." It's not enough that you are talented, work hard, make your own luck and can become successful on your own terms. There has to be some other reason! So, if you have a great idea and are convinced it will work, don't waste your time seeking validation or encouragment. In most cases, you won't get it. Albeit well meaning folk will always point out the weaknesses in your thinking, undermine your confidence and generally try to keep you down - down in that dull dark unsuccessful place they call 'reality'. Be a pioneer. Have a vision - and don't follow the herd, lead. Look in your email inbox tomorrow to
